The 7 Gifts of Simplicity

Profound transformation requires intentional lifestyle design.

Here are a few things to consider as you map out a life that supports wellbeing, meaning and purpose.

Simplicity is a form of self-care.

  • Wellness is the result of healthy habits, a clear mind, and an intentional life.

Simplicity is a virtue.

  • We recognize the insignificance of worldly things (money, power and prestige) and aim at heavenly things (generosity, humility, and a deeper dependence on God).

Simplicity is an atmosphere.

  • Less distraction leads to greater clarity and a flourishing interior life.

The 7 Gifts

Living simply has many gifts. This list is not exhaustive. All of these gifts are related to one another and lead to a life of freedom.

  1. The Gift of Time

When you eliminate excess responsibility, unnecessary possessions, and fruitless activities you will find that there is more time than you once perceived.

  1. The Gift of Focus

When we eliminate distractions, the mind is undivided. We hear clearly, we see clearly, and we act confidently.

  1. The Gift of Purpose

Your purpose in life becomes your guiding light and your way of life is designed to support that purpose.

  1. The Gift of Peace

We enjoy the “peace that passes all understanding.” Not because the world is peaceful, but because we have found the source of peace within us.

  1. The Gift of Stewardship

We spend our time, talent, treasure wisely. We discern where to invest ourselves for the greatest impact and deepest fulfillment.

  1. The Gift of Communion

Hearing God’s voice requires us to be still, quiet and in a receptive state. God always speaks. We must make space to hear.

  1. The Gift of Generosity

We live simply so others can simply live. We find joy in serving others, giving alms, and living out our God-given purpose in the world.

Are you ready to receive these gifts? Let’s get started!

Let’s discern your next steps together!
